Wow!!!! I can't quite believe this but book 4 has landed hot off the presses!!! Xanthe and the Ruby Crown is another magical adventure but the difference is it's set in my home-town Nottingham. Outside my old primary school there is a tall tower block and when I was a little girl I used to play around and inside it. I used to wonder what was there before it was built and in my latest book I have explored this idea! So for those of you who like clues...in this story there is a Bengal cat called Leo who is bit on the mysterious side. He leads Xanthe to some intriguing treasure which has been buried inside the tower block.
Xanthe has come to spend the summer with her Nani who is losing her memories so Xanthe decides to create a museum of memories for her. On the 15th floor there is an incredible roof garden which Xanthe's great grandpa created with just a fistful of seeds from the incredible flames trees, when he was forced to flee Uganda. I hope you enjoy this story. Already it has the thumbs up from Children's Laureate, Joseph Coelho, and it's been reviewed in Observer New Review too!! So hurrah for Xanthe!!
